Our 2022 Yountville Zinfandel is one of three experimental small-batch wines from the second volume of our Winemaker Series. This highly-anticipated release again features our winemakers' foray into new, lesser-known varietals and winemaking techniques. Each wine is a work of art that transcends the typical tasting experience. Everything, from the label to the wine inside the bottle, is intentionally left open to your interpretation.
Zinfandel is a signature component of our iconic Red Blend and is one of our favorite grapes to work with. Expect ripe red and purple berries, dried black cherries, cocoa nibs, black peppercorn, vanilla nutmeg, and clove aromas leap out of the bottle. Notes of boysenberry compote and pie crust accompany a dense fruit core and soft, juicy tannins that lead to a long and spicy finish.
